Over the past decade I’ve been immersed in the vistas of The White Isle – Ibiza.
The soft peachy light over the salt flats at dusk, the rustic fishing huts that are dotted along the coast nestled in coves, long afternoons spent barefoot on deserted beaches and exploring rocky outcrops where the scent of the pines and sea salt is heavy in the breeze, has offered me endless inspiration.
I wanted to find a way to capture Ibiza’s understated charm and bring it home with me.
Our fabric range, Nitto, is inspired by the traditional fishing huts. It is a soft, light material but with a textured weave similar to old fishing nets. The colours have been inspired by the tones of the rocky outcrops at dawn and dusk. Nitto drapes beautifully, making it an especially good choice for curtains.
The pale, peachy pretty tones of our Ama linen collection are also a clear nod to the palette of a long Balearic summer. A soft, lightly textured linen blend that drapes well, with a floaty quality that makes for elegant curtains and provides a soft finish on cushions and headboards.
The Nitto range and Ama collections all offer a muted, understated tonality which means they are versatile and can live harmoniously alongside other fabrics within the existing collections. They also work just as effortlessly in a London city apartment as they would in a rural finca or English cottage.
But for now, as summer opens up we’re anchored in Ibiza: days of cloudless adventure and evenings watching the sun disappear where the sea meets the sky.
