Our Story
Alix Lawson Studio blends Australian, Japanese & Scandinavian design styles to create a contemporary minimalist fusion renowned for its use of clean lines. Founder & Creative Director Alix credits her native Australia as a foundational source of inspiration: the vast skies and sprawling landscapes of her childhood sparked the designer’s signature approach of distilling her natural environment into her work.
Alix Lawson Home and The Collection were established as the instinctive evolution of the studio’s design philosophy. The fabric collections of Alix Lawson Home are inspired by nature and the designer’s travels across the globe. The Collection, a capsule collection of sculptural yet functional furniture expresses the studio’s affinity for minimalism.
Alix’s work has been published in numerous design magazines including the FT How to Spend it, the Sunday Times, Vogue and Wallpaper magazine and she has been on the judging panel for the World Interior News Awards and the A and D Trophy Awards in Asia. Alix has worked on projects for prominent families and developers in London, Europe and the Middle East with a portfolio spanning everything from residential projects to super yachts.
At just 23 Alix started her award winning interior design studio which was later acquired by The Rigby Group. Keen to embrace a boutique approach to business and revive her passion for minimalism, in 2018 Alix founded her interiors lifestyle brand Alix Lawson which now includes Alix Lawson Studio, Alix Lawson Home & The Collection.
