For the past decade, I have escaped London’s grey winters for the tropical paradise of Sri Lanka. Steeped in history and overflowing with natural beauty, the rich colours and diverse landscape of this beautiful island have long been a source of design inspiration.
I wanted this collection to feel as if you were sifting through the pages of my travel diary. Sri Lanka has always been an oasis of calm for me; surfing in Hiriketiya bay where the jungle kisses the ocean, strolling past villas framed in frangipani and exploring the ancient and sacred city of Kandy. I poured these experiences into my latest fabrics: Tropical Breeze, Monsoon Mist and Coconut Grove.
I found textural and tonal inspiration everywhere I went: from the rolling tea plantations that cover the hill country in greenery, to the windswept beaches and tangled roots of the banyan trees in Galle. The vibrant textures and rich materials of Sri Lanka are thoughtfully netted throughout my latest collection.
